ENTERTAINMENT ROOM The homeowner requested a modern entertainment room design that would provide the family with additional space to entertain guests. The 1930s basement was completely gutted, and the existing floor tile was removed by using a concrete buffing machine and cleaned to allow for new concrete stain. All of the exterior stone walls were reconditioned to secure the stone and to prevent future water leaks. The open steel staircase provides a modern appearance and a view throughout the basement, which allows for circulation on both sides of the new staircase. The new floor plan relinquished unused storage space for a new steel bar with a decorative bowl sink. |
