The existing interior 6,800 SF space was originally designed in 1920 to be the main surgical floor of the hospital. A modern renovation now houses 20 physician offices and open office cubicles for administrative staff. The interior office walls feature clerestory windows that draw natural daylight into the open administrative area. The new suite also includes a conference room, kitchen and break room, enclosed billing office, storage areas, filing areas, and restroom facilities. A highlight of the space is flexible molding along the office walls with contrasting colors to help resemble the different rolling landscape of Kansas. So impressed with the final outcome, the client renamed the space, “The Flint Hills Suite.”
